The Drip has always been one of my favorite Seth Godin books because I love the idea of being able to talk to people, REALLY talk to people about what I am working on and get their input and direction on what they like or don't like about the project. Gary Vaynerchuk calls it going deep and I love it just the same. 

When I started the Everything is Marketing podcast a friend reached out and said they loved the content but the audio was wonky. Sure enough, I was moving too fast and just "getting it out there" which is content bullshit for checking the box and there are some early podcasts that are not as good as they should have been. That meant a lot to me for him to say that. Why? Because it mattered to him and he trusted in our relationship that I would take the criticism and run with it instead of attacking it. That happens when you build trust with people. That happens when you make things that matter to you, magic happens and they matter to other people - hopefully.
